Mallory's Surgery

Check out this beautiful smile. Our little angel had to have the little flap of skin between her two front teeth cauterized. It was drooping half way down her two front teeth. It would get stuck when she talked and it got infected one time and was all swollen. We took her in to a pediatric dentist and they cauterized it. Mallory was awake the whole time and was a little trooper. She did a lot better than her mom. I cried when I found out that she wasn't going to be asleep for the operation. They only gave her some happy gas and then gave her some shots to numb the skin around her two front teeth. Tim watched the entire thing, but I had to turn away and cried when they gave her the shots and started cauterizing the skin away. Hopefully the swelling will go down soon, but it will be a good thing in the long run.

Even with a swollen lip she is so dang cute! I hate seeing my kids in pain too. Kaitlyn had 2 teeth pulled and she still needs 3 more pulled, just so her permenant teeth can fit in. It was so hard to watch her get her shots. I totally understand. Just keep giving her popsicles and she will be back to normal before you know it!
